Beatriz N. Arroyave is a Senior Associate at Young, Berman, Karpf & Karpf, with over 17 years of litigation experience, representing clients in a variety of complex family law litigation matters. Born and raised in Miami-Dade County, Florida, Beatriz attended Florida International University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice in 2004. She then attended The Florida State University College of Law where she earned her Juris Doctorate in 2007.
While in law school, Beatriz served as a Certified Legal Intern at the Miami-Dade County State Attorney’s Office, where she served as second chair on her first jury trial as a third-year law student. Exhibiting a love for the courtroom, Beatriz officially began her legal career as an Assistant State Attorney in Miami-Dade County. During her time as a prosecutor, Beatriz gained invaluable trial experience while also building a strong rapport with many members of the South Florida legal community.
Following her time at the State Attorney’s Office, Beatriz transitioned into the world of private practice and civil litigation – homing in on family and matrimonial law. Today, Beatriz practices exclusively in the area of family and matrimonial law, handling cases such as divorce, paternity, domestic violence, relocation, and child-related issues. She is comfortable and effective inside of the courtroom, and a skilled and reasonable negotiator outside of the courtroom.
Beatriz is a member of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar and of the First Family Law American Inn of Court in Miami. She is also a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Law Mediator and is fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
