Andy Wilson is a partner at Young, Berman, Karpf & Karpf, where he has practiced since joining the firm in February 2017. He has built his practice around one area of law—marital and family law—and brings extensive experience handling complex and highly personal family matters from the initial consultation through trial and appellate proceedings.

Andy is Board Certified in Marital and Family Law by The Florida Bar, the highest level of specialty certification offered to Florida lawyers. He is also certified as a Family Trial Advocate by the National Institute of Trial Advocacy. Nearly 100% of his practice is devoted to marital and family law litigation, including divorce, child custody, pre- and post-nuptial agreements, and paternity matters. He has also been appointed as an Attorney ad Litem in family law proceedings and is trained in Collaborative Family Law.

Beyond his practice, Andy is deeply involved in the legal community, particularly through the Family Law Section of the American Bar Association. He currently serves as Co-Chair of its CLE Committee, sits on its Council, and has chaired numerous other committees. He is a frequent speaker on family law matters and has presented to audiences around the country. Andy has also authored several articles addressing a range of marital and family law issues.

Andy’s commitment to family law began during law school. At the University of Miami School of Law, he was a finalist in the 1L Moot Court Competition and was subsequently elected Vice President of the Moot Court Board. He graduated in 2009 and received the Dean’s Certificate of Achievement in Family Law, awarded to the student earning the highest grade in the course.

Andy takes the practice of family law seriously, but believes life should be about more than work. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his dog, Charley, and taking advantage of everything South Beach has to offer—including its restaurants, culture, and energy.
